Encountering Conflict
‘Enountering Conflict’ is the theme for your ‘Context’ writing. This area is brand new to VCE and one that I think you will find quite fun. Have a look at the following power point to help you understand it all a little better. context power point.
You have many options as to the styles of writing you may choose from to do your piece of writing. You just have to remember to stick to the theme and use the film Omagh and outside sources to help you with your writing. While the following link concentrates on the novel The Secret River still take a look at the following link from VCAA as to the requirement and some great suggestions for styles of writing.
Once you think you have a good understanding of what your goal is with Context and your head is spinning with creative ideas on what style of writing you are going to do start looking at the ‘Blogrolls’ and all the sites on Omagh so that you have a better understanding of where Omagh is and what happened before you watch the film.
