Australian Story
Part of Context writing is learning to incoporate evidence that is relevant to the theme ‘Encountering Conflict’. This evidence is to be gained by looking at situations and real life events that happen and creating a link.
This Australian Story is about Ben Potts who more or less sails into conflict, but what he encounters is more than he imagined.
Read all the transcipts and let me know what you think of it, how do you think it fits into the theme?

The Australian Story site is also brilliant for Broadband specials. This site allows you to actually watch some to the shows and gives you some notes. I would pay attention to the following shows: Body of Evidence, The Acquittal, Their Day in Court, Collision Course, When a stranger calls and Down to earth.

You do not have to watch all of these clips but the more outside sources you can find the better for your writing…especially since you do not know what it is you are writing about yet.
After watching/ reading some of these shows try to take notes on the types of conflict involved, how the conflict was ‘encountered’ and whether or not there was any resolution.
